On 26 September 2009, UNPOS police team held a meeting with the senior leadership of the Somali Police Force (SPF). The meeting provided the SPF an opportunity to state its strategic vision following the 17 September bombing of the AMISOM force headquarters in Mogadishu. The SPF re-affirmed its commitment to support training at the Mogadishu Police Academy and expressed the need for the other stakeholders to back their words with deeds.
