Somaliland's three political parties sign a six-point Memorandum of Understanding which stresses the need for free, fair and peaceful elections, including depoliticizing the date of the elections. The parties agree to postpone the elections which will be held under the auspices of the new Election Commission with the assistance of independent and international experts. This move follows theresignation of all seven members of the National Electoral Commission (NEC).
