President Sheik Sharif Ahmed announces that Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke and his Cabinet have been dismissed, following a parliamentary vote of no confidence in the executive. The President also accepts the resignation of the Speaker of Parliament, Sheikh Aden Madobe.
