US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton meets with President Sheikh Sharif demonstrating U.S. support for the government. Commenting to BBC, Somali Foreign Minister calls the event "a golden opportunity" adding that "the people of Somalia are sick and tired of war...." Mrs Clinton said the US will continue to offer financial and military support to the Somali government, while warning Eritrea against its continued support for Al-Shabab. "We are making it very clear to the Eritrean government that their support of the Al Shabab is unacceptable as it amounts to interfering with the rights of Somali people to elect their leaders. We intend to take act if they don't cease," she said.
