Mogadishu, 13 August 2012 [REV.1] – The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia, Dr. Augustine P. Mahiga, strongly condemns the killings of Yusuf Ali Osman, aka "Yusuf-Farey", Somali Government Official and of journalist Mohamed Ali, aka "Buniste", yesterday in Mogadishu.

Nairobi, 10 August 2012 - With less than two weeks to go before the end of the Transition, we remain increasingly concerned that the selection of the new Somali Parliament continues to be jeopardized by individuals who are seeking to undermine this critical process.
